Grade Level: 3rd-8th grade boys and 3rd -7th grade girls

Practice: Team practices begin week of November 7th for grades 1-6 Boys and grades 1-7 girls. 7th and 8th grade boys  begin practice the week of November 14th.

Games: Saturdays

Games Played: Columbia Sports Fieldhouse or a CPS gym

3rd-8th grade division: 

Teams are formed first by school (if there is a coach and enough players), then by space available on other teams.  If there is more than one team per school, then teams within that school will be formed randomly.  CYBA does not honor team/player/coach requests. Players have the option to play with the elementary team/coach from 3rd-5th grade. Players must register by October 22nd before team formation to be guaranteed a position on a team with school peers.

 Players must play in their grade level.  

Games begin January 7th through March 4th with a snow makeup on March 11th 2023.

Teams in grades 3-6 boys and 3-5th girls start with a pre season Jamboree on December 10th or 11th with a guarantee of 2 games per team! This is not a tournament but just a great way to start the season with a lot of FUN!

In 6th grade, CYBA does not accept player requests  to return to their elementary school team/coach. CYBA forms teams randomly by the Middle schools that players attend.  CYBA is a recreational league and we strive to keep the teams balanced as much as possible. 

7th graders who play on their school team can play/practice with CYBA after their season is complete at their school (We suggest signing 7th/8th graders up before October 21st to assure a spot on a team by team formation deadline). Teams are typically full if you wait to sign up after the school season is over on December 17th.

**NEW**Players in 8th grade who are playing school ball can play CYBA in the 9/10th grade division. Registration closes for the 9/10th grade division on December 9th. Players in 8th grade who played with their school team may register a team of 10 players in grades 8-10th or register individually and be placed on a team with availability. Please note the team registration deadline is December 9th. Any 8th grade boy may play up into the 9/10 high school division but cannot play in both the 8B recreational division and the high school division.
